CAMD Summer School – Electronic Structure Theory and Materials Design 2022
The PhD students Samuele Spreafico and Andreas Ziegler belonging to Project L attended this years international summer school which is organized every two years within the research of Computational Atomic-scale Materials Design (CAMD) at Technical University of Denmark.
The major focus of this summer school consisted in showing how electronic structure theory can be used for materials design. On this topic, Samuele and Andreas got introduced to the role of Machine Learning in cooperation with first principle simulations.
The balanced daily program featured talks, lectures and hands-on tutorials, which took place at the Marylyst Hotel in Helsingør. In this environment they had the opportunity to meet up with more than 100 researchers from all around the world and acquire an overview about the directions of the research in their field during a poster event night.
