International Symposium on Phase-Field Modelling in Materials Science
Xuejian Wang from Project K visited the 5th International Symposium on Phase-Field Modelling in Materials Science (PF24) in Hangzhou, China. He could present his topic „An extended phase-field-drift-diffusion model for oxygen vacancy migration in single-crystal barium titanate“ in form of a poster presentation.
The interplay between point defect and domain/domain wall plays a significant role in the properties of ferroelectric material. Their migration also has a great impact on ferroelectric fatigue and aging effect, etc. Based on phase-field method, this poster calculates the formation of domain/domain walls and the migration of oxygen vacancies (OVs) motivated by the polarization field under the different concentration of OVs. The results reveal the effect of OVs concentration on domain wall morphology and the migration pattern of OVs in domains.
He could perfectly represent the IRTG and Project K at the conference.
